Job Title: Chief Accountant

Chief Accountant will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. You will be responsible for overseeing all accounting activities, financial reporting, and budgeting processes. We are committed to leveraging technology to provide our customers with cutting-edge financial solutions. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled Chief Accountant to join our team and lead our finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management

• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and all other accounting transactions.
• Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and manage the annual budget.
• Provide financial analysis and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.

Compliance and Reporting

• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Prepares and reports monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for CBK.
• Prepare annual financial statements according to IFRS for audit report.
• Prepare and submit tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Work with external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Assess and manage financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate them.
• Monitor and report on the financial health of the company

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Provide guidance and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Lead the identification, development and implementation of effective internal control mechanisms and promote continuous improvements in financial processes and routines.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.

Strategic Financial Management

• Adapting and revising strategies to achieve the organization’s financial goals.
• Include a multidimensional and innovative approach for solving business problems.
• Helps develop applicable strategies and supervise the action plans to be consistent with the business objectives.

Qualifications required for the job:

Professional Experience:

• Proven experience as a senior-level accountant or finance manager, preferably in a fintech or financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
• Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
