Call for expressions of interest or Invitation to Tender
The GIZ project “Youth, Employment and Skills” invites qualified experts to submit expression of interest for Support in carrying out an innovative youth-oriented
instrument in VET (professional) schools
The instrument “Opportunity Scouting” is going to be conducted in nine (9) professional/ VET schools in five (5) municipalities in Kosovo, namely Vushtrri/ Vučitrn,Suharekë / Suva Reka, Ferizaj/ Uroševac, Mitrovicë/ Kosovska Mitrovica and Malishevë/ Mališevo. The “Opportunity Scouting” is an instrument in which young students from VET schools shall research their own municipality about labour market opportunities or further training opportunities in order to ease their transition into the labour market and at the same time, to get empowered and to gain a set of soft skills. In a group of up to 25 students they simulate to work in a company under the supervision of volunteering and previously trained teachers. Framework and guidelines for the ‘Opportunity Scouting’ are being provided by a team of international consultants and GIZ.
The project is looking for one local consultant per mentioned municipality who is taking part in trainings and briefing sessions with the international consultants and GIZ. The requested consultant shall be the focal point for communication and coordination of the process and serves as the link between schools, municipal stakeholders, GIZ and potential other actors such as media. It is requested that the consultant supports the implementation administratively and organizationally and takes part in trainings and, subsequently supervises teachers. He/ She shall give feedback on the process to the international consultants and GIZ with regards to the pedagogical and didactical implementation and shall derive recommendations from the practical work.
After the successful implementation of the “Opportunity Scouting” in nine (9) professional schools, the data gathered by the students shall be distributed to other interested students and stakeholders such as Employment Offices through a roadshow, which the consultant is supposed to support in the respective municipality.
In total, the project seeks five local consultants, one for each municipality:
- Vushtrri/ Vučitrn,
- Suharekë / Suva Reka
- Ferizaj/ Uroševac
- Mitrovicë/ Kosovska Mitrovica
- Malishevë/ Mališevo
The consultants shall have experience in delivering trainings and must be familiar with the stakeholder landscape in the respective municipality; ideally they should be familiar with the business and training landscape. They need high communication and coordination skills and should be experienced in project management.
